LOCUM CONSULTANT RADIOLOGIST WITH AN INTEREST IN BREAST IMAGING

Applications are invited for a full time Locum Consultant Breast Radiologist post based mainly at The Park Centre for Breast Care, part of Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust. This is a maternity replacement post for a fixed term of 12 months.

This full time position comprises 9 clinical sessions of general and breast radiology, both screening and symptomatic and 1 session of SPA. Candidates who wish to work fewer sessions will be considered as long as they are ready to work at least 5 clinical sessions a week. Candidates who wish to work only on breast radiology will be welcomed to apply.

Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals is the regional teaching hospital, providing general acute services to Brighton and Hove and Mid Sussex and tertiary services for patients across Sussex and the south east of England. Working as one hospital across two sites in Brighton and Haywards Heath, we treat over half a million patients a year. Breast imaging, screening, and outpatient breast surgery and oncology moved out of The Royal Sussex County Hospital (RSCH), Brighton in November 2008 to The Park Centre for Breast Care. This is located on the A23, 1 mile north of central Brighton and 2 miles from RSCH and overlooks Preston Park, a 63 acre Victorian park. The Centre is purpose built in a totally refurbished building and features digital mammography.
