Director of Partnerships and Programmes

Very Senior Manager (VSM) £112k per annum inclusive

Fixed Term contract or secondment: 2 years (For fixed term contracts the successful candidate will be employed by Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. King’s Health Partners is hosted by Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust).

We are looking for an outstanding individual to join us as Director of Partnerships and Programmes on the King’s Health Partners Executive team.

The role will be responsible for leading the programme delivery function for King’s Health Partners and driving the key strategic themes for the KHP five year plan 2020-2025 - delivering better health for all through high impact innovation.

The development of our local, regional, national and international partnerships will be critically important to enabling our impact both locally and globally, and the post holder will lead on the development of innovative funding arrangements, including partnerships with industry, third sectors and other international bodies.

This will include developing relationships with Integrated Care Systems, other clinical-academic and university partnerships, national bodies and government agencies, as well as commercial partners

Candidates should have demonstrable skills in engaging and managing robust relationships and communications with key internal and external stakeholders and strategic partners.

This is a complex leadership and influencing role, and the successful candidate will bring extensive experience of managing complex healthcare programmes, the ability to negotiate and influence at a senior level, and have experience of working in an academic environment and developing and implementing strategies, commercial strategies and business cases.

King’s Health Partners: is an Academic Health Sciences Centre where world-class research, education and clinical practice are brought together for the benefit of patients. The collective weight of the partners has been applied to this challenge; comprising a leading university, King’s College London, two large NHS acute Foundation Trusts, Guy’s and St Thomas’ and King’s College Hospital, and South London and Maudsley which offers the widest range of NHS mental health services in the UK.
