Band 3 Medical Secretary, Surgical Directorate, Salisbury District Hospital

Full time 37.5 hours Monday - Friday

An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone to join the Surgical Directorate Secretarial Team at Salisbury District Hospital. The successful candidate will provide a comprehensive range of administrative and secretarial support to the Consultants and their teams and the nursing team, will liaise with other departments and services, and respond effectively to enquiries from the general public, service users, and other colleagues. The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic team player, be an experienced typist and will require GCSE English grade C or above, as well as audio typing and word processing skills to RSA level 2 or equivalent. A flexible approach to work is required with excellent communication skills.

We offer parking on site at Salisbury District Hospital, a daily charge applies. We encourage our staff to utilise other green methods of getting to work such as cycling or walking where possible, and our Trust is well connected through the bus services to the city centre and other areas.

If this job requires you to have DBS check to enable you to properly fulfil the requirements of the job, on appointment, you will be required to replay the cost of obtaining a DBS check and this amount will be reclaimed in installments from your salary. Many staff use the DBS update service at a cost of £13 per annum but you need to sign up for this via their website.
