CAMHS provide mental health and risk assessments and interventions for children, young people and their families across Leeds, putting them at the heart of every decision made about their welfare.

This exciting opportunity will see you joining a multi-disciplinary service that is undergoing an extensive ‘Emotional and Mental Health’ review linked to the local and national transformation agendas and local reset plans. This is a really exciting time to join a forward thinking and innovative Senior Leadership team.

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Clinician or Clinical Lead, who will work alongside CAMHs Head of Service and CAMHS Medical Lead as a key member of the Senior Leadership team. Ideally this experience of clinical practice or leadership will either be within a children’s service or mental health service setting.

You will be able to evidence skills in leading clinically effective and safe services to meet patient and family/carer needs and of supporting services during times of change, as well as having experience in the management and leadership of clinical staff.

In line with Leeds CAMHS ethic of working as a team collectively seeking ways to solve the most challenging problems, you will constantly look for ways to develop and improve the services within the CAMHS portfolio and linking with the wider Children’s Business Unit, inspiring colleagues to find innovative solutions. Your commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people will be evident and your natural leadership ability and confidence in promoting a culture of on-going service development and improvement will make you stand out from the crowd. The role includes leadership development of clinical staff within the service.

You will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage challenging conversations and will demonstrate an attitude that respects and values others, encouraging choice, engagement and involvement from staff and from the children, young people and families who use our services.
