Full Time- Permanent position

BAND 6 Physiotherapist - Medicine

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Physiotherapist to join our large established team of physiotherapists and occupational therapists working on our acute medical wards and emergency floor. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team who provide assessments and interventions to facilitate safe and effective discharge planning from the Leicester Royal Infirmary.

You will demonstrate excellent communication, prioritisation and time management skills. This post will be suitable for a candidate who has a wide range of rotational experience, particularly with older people with a variety of comorbidities for example Parkinsons, falls and fractures.

You will join a supportive team of Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists in the Acute Medicine and Rapid Assessment and Discharge Team (RADs) Team. You will receive regular supervision, appraisal and be encouraged to be involved in service development., audit and research. You will be expected to support and supervise other staff as well as provide practice placements for students.

The successful candidate would need to be flexible in their working as the service is provided over 7 days a week and extended hours.
