We have an exciting opportunity to join an expanding team of Advanced Nurse Practitioners.

We looking for an experienced Advanced Nurse / Paramedic Practitioner to join our Team of ANPs including Trainee ANP's who cover three GP sites across the city of Southampton. These 3 sites are run by Solent NHS Trust. As a new development we are now also inviting paramedic practitioners with a prescribing qualification to apply for this role within our team.

This opportunity will attract a 20% recruitment and retention pay premia on top of the salary agreed at offer.

We have a centralised Telephone Triage with a ‘Triage Hub’ consisting of at least 3 ANP's on a daily basis. This is a recent change in developing how we deliver our service to the public.

Our Advanced Nurse Practitioners work autonomously to assess, manage and treat those patients presenting to our ‘on the day’ urgent service and work closely with our General Practitioners to form a duty team each day.

Our ANP's have 15 minute appointments with patients and see on average between 15-18 patients a day. The ANP team treat patients of all ages with about a third of the patients being children.

We are looking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic, flexible and resourceful individual who is committed to providing excellent care to our patients. Although experience in General Practice is preferred we would also consider those who have proven experience in Emergency or Urgent Care. We require the successful candidate to have physical assessment and history taking skills and university modules as well as non-medical prescribing and the decision making and diagnostics module.

There are opportunities for in-house education with GPs and other Services with in Solent e.g. MSK Teams There is also access to external training courses. Clinical supervision sessions are already well established.

This post will require you to participate in the development of our trainee ANP's and also to support nursing leads in the development of a multi-disciplinary workforce.
