Employer:
Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
Department:
Additional Professional Scientific and Technical
Location:
Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Sheffield
Salary:
£31,365 - £37,890 pa pro rata for part time staff

Sheffield Teaching Hospitals is one of the country’s largest, busiest and most successful NHS foundation Trusts, committed to clinical excellence, high quality education, and innovative research. We provide hospital and community services for people in Sheffield, as well as specialist care for patients from further afield. Chaplaincy services are valued as part of the multi-disciplinary team across the Trust, in delivering spiritual, religious and pastoral care to patients, staff and visitors in our acute settings. Trust specialisms include emergency medicine, neurology, renal and spinal injuries as well as onsite specialist cancer and maternity hospitals. We are looking for a compassionate, experienced and committed Chaplain to join our multi-faith team. If you want to offer professional care in this creative and challenging environment, then we have a full-time permanent post due to the previous Chaplain moving into a specialist role.

We are looking for a skilled Chaplain who is enthusiastic about contributing to an effective Chaplaincy department, with responsibilities for particular projects and work streams. You will be an honours graduate or equivalent in a subject relevant to healthcare Chaplaincy and hold a religious qualification relevant to the post. You will have high levels of communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to contribute to the supervision and training of others. You will be able to participate in providing our on-call rota and 7-day service.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop and gain more skills within a supportive team of eleven Chaplains and would be ideal for an experienced Band 5 Chaplain to gain experience in our diverse Trust. The post is Trust-wide according to service needs. If you are kind, respectful and supportive; committed to team values and goals; and able to work with and value diversity, we would love to hear from you. While this post is full-time, there may be some flexibility in terms of hours.
