There is an opportunity to join our team at a time of exciting changes. This is offered as a 12 month locum post with a 10 PA Job Plan.

As part of Covid resilience and Trust Strategic direction, the clinical team are integrating the acute Vascular services in Manchester at Manchester Royal Infirmary. Applications are invited for the post of Locum Consultant Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon based at Manchester Royal Infirmary and supporting the spoke Trusts in our Network across Wythenshawe, Tameside, Macclesfield & Stepping Hill. This full-time post attracting 10 PAs, available with immediate effect, complements the current Vascular Service of 12 fulltime Consultants based at MRI & Wythenshawe Hospital. The appointee will be an integral member of the Vascular Surgical Service and will participate in an existing Vascular Surgery on-call and the Consultant of the Week rota. Mentorship within the unit will be provided based on discussion with the successful applicant around their needs.

The successful applicant will have a broad base in conventional vascular surgery as well as endovascular techniques. He/she will work with the existing consultant team to provide level three training in all aspects of Vascular Surgery and will be expected to support cross disciplinary working relations and in particular to be involved in endovascular procedures with the incumbent Consultant Vascular Radiologists.
