111- Remote Nurse Practitioner

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a 111 Nurse Practitioner to join our expanding team. You will be responsible for contacting patients with a wide spectrum of clinical conditions within the services provided by DHU 111 (East Midlands CIC) and providing them with clinical assessment, treatment, referral and advice as appropriate, which will all be telephony based.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide telephony based care and advice to NHS 111 callers. Supported by the Senior Clinician Module software the practitioner will assess, advise and direct patients to onward referral points where required.

  • To apply robust clinical knowledge to the validation of ambulance outcomes generated via NHS 111

  • To have the clinical competence to make clear decisions with confidence and communicate these effectively

  • To maintain appropriate clinical records, ensuring that documentation clearly demonstrates Guidelines and Policies for Records and Record keeping.

  • To prescribe medication and work within the limitations of current extended Non-Medical Prescribing legislation

  • To work within the parameters of his/her skills and knowledge, to recognise the limitations of one’s own practice and to work within the boundaries of one’s training and capability

    You will need:

  • Registered General Nurse.

  • Substantial autonomous practice experience supported by a degree/Masters level study in advanced practice

  • Substantial and broad experience of using advanced clinical examination skills within practice in the assessment/management of both adults and/or children.

  • Experience using PGD’s/non-medical prescriber

Working hours

  • Up to 37.5 per week – between the hours 10:00-22:00


£23.84 Mon- Thurs 08:00-23.59
£28.48 Fri 18:00- Mon 08.00 and bank holidays
