Are you looking to gain experience in Medical Education or Quality Improvement or Simulation or Paediatric Emergency Medicine or an area of your choice?

We have 3 exciting NEW Portfolio Paediatric Middle Grade posts developed in line with the Health Board’s Clinical Futures Strategy. Initially based at the Royal Gwent Hospital you will transfer to our new flag ship Grange University Hospital, Cwmbran upon its opening in November 2020. Paediatric facilities include an integrated Children’s Emergency Assessment comprising 16 assessment spaces, adjacent 6 bed Short Stay Unit, 2 bedded Stabilisation & High Dependency Unit, and 48 bed inpatient ward. The Multidisciplinary Education Centre is equipped with the latest AV technology and there is a purpose built simulation suite and clinical skills lab.

Post holders will have a full 1:10 out of hours commitment but 40% of paid in-hours’ time will be dedicated to improving your portfolio.

This is an ideal opportunity to gain experience and improve your CV to reapply to ST Training in future, acquire new skills as OOPE or improve your CV for CESR.
