An exciting opportunity is available for a Materials Management Supervisor to join Devon Partnership NHS Trust’s Materials Management Team. These are exciting times as the department looks to further develop its operation to ensure this new temporary function is providing a first class service to the wider Trust.

This is a key role and requires a professional, hard-working and motivated individual who is expected to have an understanding of inventory management & distribution and procurement in order to deliver results. The post holder will be primarily charged with ensuring the Materials Management function delivers services that meet and exceed expectations of service recipients.

The Materials Management Supervisor is responsible for the operation of the PPE Central Stores and, as such, responsible for the processing of goods-in and goods-out, as well as organising the layout and appropriate storage of stock. This includes the identification of demand, processing and distribution of orders in and the collection/disposal of stock in adherence to processes and guidelines.

To succeed in this post you must have excellent communication, interpersonal skills and time management skills, attention to detail and a working knowledge of computers for emails, stock maintenance systems and other requirements. Applicants must be able to lift, carry, handle and transport goods across sites, be trustworthy and reliable and able to handle confidential items. Applicants will be required to undertake any further training required for the role.

This is an extremely busy and interesting department to work in. You will meet a different challenge every day and the successful candidate will be an integral part of the team providing our customers a first class service for the administration of personal protective equipment. We are seeking a candidate who can demonstrate they can work in a very busy stores environment and have a track record of coordinating and organising stock.

Salary: £19,737 - £21,142 (Band 3 subject to A4C evaluation)

The location

This role is based at Wonford House, Exeter although may require some travel to other sites as required.

As a new member of staff to Devon Partnership NHS Trust you will be required to attend a full induction programme at the beginning of your employment. The content and length of this programme will depend on your new job role and where you will be working. This can be between one day for non-clinical staff and up to 10 days for inpatient clinical staff.
