If you have some experience we actively encourage all our Radiographers to develop their radiographic skills further and we are able to offer lots of opportunities to train in specialist modalities.

We pride ourselves on a supportive environment for all Diagnostic Imaging staff. There is in house provision of education and training e.g. CPD evenings and Radiographers will participate in the provision of a 24/7 seven day a week imaging service.

The Diagnostic Imaging Department is a cohesive, friendly and forward looking department. We are constantly striving to improve the service we offer our patients and the department is currently applying for QSI accreditation.

Our busy, modern hospital provides a full range of district general services and links with satellite units in five community hospitals. We are a designated trauma unit and part of the Wessex Trauma network. The hospital received a CHKS Top Hospital Award 2016 and is nationally recognised for research and audit activity.

Dorset is a delightful place to live and work with the choice of coast or country for leisure activities. Dorset County Hospital is in the county town of Dorchester which has good rail links to Southampton and London and highly rated schools.
