Are you a keen radiographer who wants to maintain a breadth of skills whilst developing specialist knowledge in Neuro imaging to support (tertiary) services on the Brighton site? Do you want to work with in an engaging team who will support you through your professional development?

Brighton is a vibrant cosmopolitan city by the sea and with nearby easy access to the South Downs National Park. Both are within one hour of London by train.

There’s never been a better time to join BSUH. Our Trust is in the early stages of a £420 million redevelopment of the Brighton Campus. This will include a brand new Imaging department including Neuro imaging we are a modern department who strive for quality, and have been ISAS accredited since 2014. We are the regional Trauma and Stroke centre with thrombectomy and our service reflects the challenges this brings with it.

Previous experience in CT/MRI and Neuro would be ideal but is not a necessity as our training programmes are very comprehensive. Most importantly we are looking for someone with NHS experience who is eager to join our developing team and someone who is as passionate as we are about the service that we deliver.

You will be working throughout the Imaging department which includes a state of the art bi-plane angi-ography suite, three 1.5T Siemens MRI scanners, 3 CT scanners including a dedicated A&E CT and x-ray room , and a hybrid angiography room.

Following training you will implement advanced imaging techniques within this niche service, developing interventional angiography skills as you become an integral part of both the Neuro team and the wider imaging department. This will involve the team participating in advanced aneurysm and AVM treatment, and stroke management such as thrombectomy.

You will be a senior influence within the department - rotating through: Neuro-angiography, CT, MRI and acute imaging In addition to your normal core hours, participation in the out of hour’s rota is necessary. This will include some weekend and night shift work.
