An exciting opportunity has arisen for an existing band 6 or experienced band 5 to join our exciting cross site respiratory rotation.

We are looking for a band 6 full time physiotherapist to be a part of our existing respiratory rotation across both QMC and City hospital throughout the Nottingham University Hospital trust, We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic individual who is committed to further improving their respiratory skills and aiding in providing a high quality service.

The successful candidate must have completed core junior rotations.

NUH is one of the largest teaching trusts in the UK and offers excellent opportunities for training and development. Among other areas, the successful applicant will also have the opportunity to work within the regional CF centre, the regional Major Trauma centre and both critical care units. The Critical Care team at City hospital has been awarded Outstanding in the recent CQC inspection, partly due to the innovative Rehabilitation service offered. We have excellent and well established links within the Mid Trent Critical Care Network and links with the university providing opportunities for assisting with the cardio-respiratory undergraduate module.

The rotations included are: Thoracic Surgery, Respiratory Medicine including respiratory outpatient clinic, Cardiac Surgery, Critical Care, Upper GI surgery and Cystic Fibrosis at City Campus and a combination of Critical Care (including major trauma), Respiratory Medicine and Colorectal & Hepatobiliary surgery at QMC. These are subject to change.

The role also requires the individual to be an active member of the on call, bank holiday and weekend rotas, occasionally working flexibly until 9pm to support the late shift at City Campus.

  • Your post maybe subject to a DBS check which incurs a cost dependent on the level of check required (£45 for enhanced and £28 for standard). I agree to reimburse NUH NHS Trust the cost of a DBS check if it is required (by deduction from first month’s pay). Should I decide to withdraw from my job offer, I agree to reimburse NUH NHS Trust the cost of the DBS check undertaken by cheque or other agreed method.
