JOB TITLE: High Level Optometrist (Follow Ups)

 

WHAT WILL THE JOB INVOLVE?

 

We are looking for a high-level Optometrist to join our team seeing our follow up patients for General and Glaucoma conditions across the West Midlands and Nottingham area.

 

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

As an Optometrist you must be able to provide services in Glaucoma Care. Your duties will include seeing follow up patients with the below eye conditions:

 

·        Dealing with Ocular-Refinement patients

·        Management of OHT and Suspect Glaucoma

·        Minor Eye Conditions patients

·        Patient support and education

 

Appointment Time: 10 minutes

 

Technician / HCA will be available on sessions

You will have access to support and guidance from our Consultant Ophthalmologists to assist your work.

 

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

 

•          Must be GoC registered

•          Must hold required qualifications i.e. WOPEC or Higher Cert in Glaucoma qualification

•          Suitable level of experience to undertake Glaucoma Care

 

COMMUNICATIONS AND WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

 

Accountable to: Lead Ophthalmologist

Communicates with: Consultants, Managers, front line staff teams & patients
