With offices throughout the Midlands, North West and South East we cover a core geographic patch that extends to Greater Manchester in the north and Essex in the south. Our services are built on a strong foundation of experienced people who build great relationships, a commitment to NHS values and a thorough understanding of our clients and the challenges they face.

We provide real value to our customers by working at scale, creating the synergies and innovation that ultimately drives improved patient outcomes and makes commissioning resources work harder.

Our cornerstones are quality, value, innovation and complete customer focus.

Arden & GEM CSU are looking to appoint a Director of Finance to lead the Finance and Strategy function of the organisation.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director this role will form an integral part of our Executive Team, contributing to the corporate management across all aspects of the CSU’s activity.

As Director of Finance you will be specifically responsible for developing and implementing the CSU’s financial strategies and ensuring a culture of financial awareness. You will also provide inspirational leadership within your Directorate, developing, mentoring and leading high performing teams in the ever-changing NHS landscape.

We are seeking an individual with significant financial leadership experience gained within a large, complex organisation, preferably with experience in the NHS/Health economy. We welcome applicants from all sectors with the qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience to meet the remit of this role. An in depth understanding of NHS finances, NHS governance, the CSU’s risk environment and an appreciation of the social, political and economic trends that influence commissioning support units would be considered highly desirable. Most importantly, you will be an individual who operates with passion and integrity, demonstrates an inclusive and collaborative leadership style and upholds values which are aligned to those of our CSU.

We would particularly encourage applications from women and those from a BME background to improve the diversity of experience of the Board.

Tier 2 Certificate of Sponsorship

Applications from job seekers who require current Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. However, non-EEA candidates may not be appointed to a post if a suitably qualified, experienced and skilled EU/EEA candidate is available to take up the post as the employing body is unlikely, in these circumstances, to satisfy the current Resident Labour Market Test which will be in place until the end of December 2020. UK Visas and Immigration requires employers to complete this test to show that no suitably qualified EEA or EU worker can fill the post. For further information please visit the UK Visas and Immigration website.

From 6 April 2017, Tier 2 skilled worker applicants, applying for entry clearance into the UK, have had to present a criminal record certificate from each country they have resided continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Adult dependants (over 18 years old) are also subject to this requirement.
