Workforce Information Manager

This is an exciting opportunity for a key role within the workforce information team. The post holder will ensure high quality workforce information management and reports to meet the needs of a range of stakeholders. They will have operational management responsibility for reporting from Trust’s ESR system and business intelligence, as well as leading, on specific projects and managing the implementation of developments in relation to workforce data and how the organisation utilises this for planning purposes. They will drive the optimisation of ESR (Electronic Staff Record) across the Trust and plan, implement and promote the effective use of the system.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record and extensive experience in using ESR BI reporting with the ability to work flexibly under pressure to achieve the objectives of the post. Strong communication, IT, numeracy, management and interpersonal skills are essential as you will be working closely with various stakeholders. The post holder will need the ability to build strong collaborative working relationships with other departments in order to develop and support a strategic approach to the production and use of workforce information at operational and to Board level.

Key Responsibilities and requirements of the role

The post holder will be responsible for workforce reporting. They will build and maintain good working relationships with a range of managers and teams (i.e. finance, IM&T, payroll, operational and clinical managers) to develop reporting functionality in line with organisational needs and Trust strategic objectives.

Develop and contribute to policies and procedures relevant to the role i.e. ESR/workforce information and ensure they are kept updated in line with new guidance and legislation.

You must be organised, efficient and able to work on your own initiative as well as within tight time schedules. Advanced IT skills –Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel are required as well as excellent time management and multi tasking skills. It is essential that the post holder is either educated to Degree level or has equivalent experience) and can demonstrate significant experience of working with the ESR system or similar HR systems
