Occupational Therapy Team Lead

This is an exciting opportunity for a full time, experienced Occupational Therapist to join our acute therapy team within Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust.

As an integral part of the Band 7 therapy team, you will help to shape and deliver our acute therapy services playing a key role in the implementation of relevant legal frameworks, ensure best practice within cognition and dementia management and foster a Home First model of discharge within our therapy and wider Multi-Disciplinary teams. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to develop key working partnerships across both our acute and community settings and with other key stakeholders relevant to the role.

Your role will be primarily focused within the Healthcare of Older people department. You will be expected to be a clinical role model, deliver clinically to specific wards and support the day to day service management alongside other members of the Band 7 team. Our Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy services are integrated to ensure the most effective and efficient model of therapeutic care in the acute setting.
