Mind Matters Surrey IAPT is part of the Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Trust. We are a fast growing, primary care mental health service offering high quality evidence based psychological therapies for people with common mental health problems. We are looking to recruit a number of qualified/newly qualified High Intensity CBT Therapists with IAPT experience to meet our growing demand. We are particularly looking to recruit staff to work in North West Surrey, Guildford & Waverley and Surrey Downs.

Mind Matters Surrey offers all staff competitive rates of pay, including the outer London fringe benefit and NHS pension. Our clinics are community based throughout Surrey with some co-located within an integrated setting. There are plenty of opportunities for individual professional development, including specialist training where required. All Mind Matters Surrey staff attend a quarterly CPD and Team meeting which can count towards professional CPD and receive regular weekly supervision and monthly line management in a supportive and caring environment.

We would like to hear from you if you can demonstrate your commitment to providing high quality care and psychological treatment at Step 3 within an IAPT service, particularly if you have attended additional Long Term Conditions top up training. Before applying please ensure that you can meet the minimum criteria for applying;

  • Post Graduate Diploma in Psychological therapies or equivalent qualification

  • BABCP Membership and either accredited or working towards accreditation.

  • Recent evidence of working as a CBT/ High Intensity Therapist working with client groups presenting with common mental health disorders related to depression and anxiety.

  • Good IT skills and excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative way with colleagues and other services.

Mind Matters Surrey IAPT services provides psychological treatments between 8.30am – 8.00pm Monday to Thursday and office hours Friday and Saturday. There is a requirement to work a minimum of 2 late nights or one late night and a Saturday. Whilst we are primarily looking for candidates seeking full-time employment, we understand that you may wish to work more flexibly and can accept applications for a minimum of 3 days per week. The post holder will be required to travel to clinics throughout Surrey in line with service need and therefore car driver or a willingness to travel by public transport is essential.

Please note that all salaries shown are based on whole time of 37.5 hours per week for non-medical roles and 40 hours per week for medical roles, part time roles are pro-rated accordingly.
