Clinical Scientist - Andrologist Band 5

Epsom and St Helier Trust is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced andrologist to run a revised Andrology service at St Helier Hospital. This exciting post is a rare opportunity to be involved, and help to develop, an NHS male fertility service to ISO 15189 standards. The service will be expected to provide an exceptional service to cover all aspects of routine andrology including assisting the IVF unit with fertility services. The post will include managing a diary of patient appointments, stock control, health and safety for the laboratory, producing consistent semen analyses, assisting writing standard operating procedures, and writing reports under supervision. The post holder will be expected to have relevant experience in andrology and ideally be an HCPC registered Clinical Scientist or Biomedical Scientist. This post is ideally full time however part time will be considered.

The post may involve some weekend ( Saturday ) working on an occasional basis.

The successful candidate will be expected to be adaptable, keen to acquire responsibility, and have excellent communication skills with both patients and colleagues. Attention to detail is a key part of the quality requirement.
