Job Reference: 208-380-20-1

Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust
Unscheduled Care Team

We’re a large organisation with three hospitals located in Scunthorpe, Grimsby and Goole. We also provide community services in North Lincolnshire. Our 6,500 members of staff care for and support a population of more than 400,000 people.

We encourage all our staff to innovate and adopt ‘best practice’ so we can deliver excellent care to our patients. We ask staff to live our values; kindness, courage and respect.

We are committed to recruiting the best people to work with us. You could be one of them

An opportunity has arisen to join a new team of staff who will focus their time on delivering a COVID swabbing service. This service operates as a drive-through service where patients attending for surgery or treatment will be swabbed for COVID 48-72 hours prior to their treatment date. There are two drive-through centres, one in Grimsby and one in Scunthorpe, ideally you will be flexible and able to work across both sites. Both sites operate Monday to Sunday 0830-1630hrs.

Full training will be provided including training for the appropriate use of PPE.

Alongside the staff required for swabbing, we also require band 2 administration staff to support with contacting the patients, booking appointments and managing the appointment ledgers.

When applying please indicate if you are interested in a swabbing post, administration post or either. Please also indicate how many hours per week you would ideally prefer to work

This contract is offered on a fixed term basis for 3 months from the start date of the service, with regular reviews being conducted regarding continuing the service for a longer period if necessary.

Please note that the job description added is generic and includes the general tasks related to a band 2 post rather than a specific job description relating to the swabbing service.
