An exciting opportunity has presented itself within the OPAT and IV Service at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust for a band 6 health professional. We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated clinical expert in the field of Intravenous therapy and vascular access devices. We are a small but innovative team and this would be a great step in your career as you help to develop new ways of delivering care in the community and help us to seek ways of breaking boundaries in the traditional methods of care.

It would be advantageous to have community nursing experience with OPAT however we are a progressive team and we are open to look at new avenues of health professionals who can help us to develop our service further, so if you are a radiographer or a therapist with IV experience it would be great to hear from you.

The service runs 7 days a week and involves working on the wards reviewing vascular access devices and completing patient assessments for OPAT. You will also undertake home visits to administer IV medications and work closely with the community nursing teams and community hubs. You will develop your experience in teaching others as we work closely with the education and training teams delivering training on CVADs, Phlebotomy and Cannulation among others.
