The Children's Hospital at the University Hospitals of Leicester wishes to appoint a dynamic individual in the role of Clinical and Academic Fellow for Asthma and Long Term Ventilation (LTV) to join the Paediatric Respiratory Medicine team. This post will be 50% Clinical and 50% Academic.


The resident team currently consists of 5 Consultants, a Clinical Fellow in Cystic Fibrosis and 8 Specialist Respiratory Nurses. The team provide general medical cover to the respiratory ward and HDU, and have a large outpatient service looking after a children with a wide range of respiratory conditions including Allergy, Asthma, Cystic Fibrosis, Sleep disordered breathing and children on Long Term Ventilation. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain a wide variety of experience in Paediatric Respiratory Medicine and will be participating in an asthma research programme.


The respiratory team are themselves a dynamic force and are constantly seeking opportunities to expand and improve their services. This post is offered on a Fixed Term basis of 12 months.
