Finance Assistant

Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has an exciting opportunity to join the Finance team based at Warrington Hospital as a Band 3/4 Management Accounts Assistant for the Medical Division. This role is part of a well-established Finance & Procurement Department which is accredited by at level 2 for finance staff development in the Northwest. We pride ourselves on our financial standards and commitment to continuous staff development.

The successful candidate will be NVQ Level 3 or part AAT qualified, or with equivalent experience in a busy finance office environment, preferably within the NHS, and will possess excellent communication and organisational skills and a real commitment to excellent service delivery. This is a key role in supporting the regular monthly processes carried out by the department, and responsible for monitoring manpower budgets, staff changes and liaising with budget holders as necessary. You must be capable of working to tight deadlines whilst ensuring consistency and accuracy, able to prioritise workloads and be able to work on your own initiative as well as under supervision.

The post holder will assist the Senior Management Accounts Assistant to produce high quality financial monitoring information while being trained on the job in offering advice and support to budget holders.

A charge of £60 (Enhanced) will be made by the successful candidate which will be deducted from the first 3 months’ salary. In addition to this, you will also be required to re-pay any future costs that may arise in relation to DBS fees.
