Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our well established physiotherapy team and be the senior lead Physiotherapist to provide care to our patients admitted to the range of acute medical wards including an acute medical step up/step down ward.

This post will enable the successful candidate to develop both their clinical reasoning and treatment skills further as well as developing leadership qualities.

This opportunity provides wider support and development by being part of our acute team of senior physiotherapists to share learning, skills and team–working. We work very closely with all Therapy teams as well as the wider MDT.

We are looking for a Physiotherapist with excellent communication skills to join the Physiotherapy team at Dartford & Gravesham NHS Trust.

A professional attitude is essential along with the skills to work across sites as needed. The Trust and medical team provide inpatient/outpatient services at Darent Valley (Dartford) and outpatient services at Queen Mary’s (Sidcup). The post is for a qualified Physiotherapist.

Clinical leadership is through the established structure of Senior and Superintendent Physiotherapists. There is regular in-service training, clinical supervision and good peer group support


Essential experience required:

  • Significant post-graduate clinical experience to include participation in audit or other evidence based clinical practice activity.
  • Experience of working as a senior physiotherapist
  • Evidence of developed skills in neurological settings
  • Evidence of leadership skills
  • HCPC registration and CSP membership
