Clinical Haematology Ward, Churchill Hospital, Oxford

STAFF NURSE Band 5

We have a fantastic opportunity available for a highly motivated nurse to join our haematology ward team at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (OUH). We are seeking a staff nurse who is highly motivated and enthusiastic, and looking to work with haematology patients. The Clinical Haematology Ward provides highly specialised cancer care for patients with a wide range of haematological malignancies and disorders. The ward is also a bone marrow transplant unit. As part of the Oncology & Haematology Directorate based in the Cancer Centre, we work closely with the Oncology Ward and Sobell House hospice. Internal staff rotations are available.

We aim to provide a service tailored to the individuals needs’ as well as ensuring staff are supported through regular clinical supervision, educational programmes and on-going professional development. The wards actively support nurse-led activities and research, offering opportunities for professional and personal development. Funding is available for degree and masters modules within the specialty. Our focus is always to provide the best possible patient care and our values reflect those of the Trust: Compassion, Delivery, Excellence, Learning, Respect and Improvement.
