EPMA Trainer

Job Reference: 208-451375-20-2

Employer:
Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust
Department:
Pharmacy
Location:
Grimsby
Salary:
£19,737 to £21,142 per annum

We’re a large organisation with three hospitals located in Scunthorpe, Grimsby and Goole. We also provide community services in North Lincolnshire. Our 6,500 members of staff care for and support a population of more than 400,000 people.

We encourage all our staff to innovate and adopt ‘best practice’ so we can deliver excellent care to our patients. We ask staff to live our values; kindness, courage and respect.

We are committed to recruiting the best people to work with us. You could be one of them

We are seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic and motivated individual to work within our Trust’s Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration System (EPMA) team to help deliver this project which will significantly change the way the Trust prescribes and administers medicines.

This post will be a fixed term, 13 month contract or internal secondment opportunity to start in August 2020 and will support the implementation and ongoing roll-out of the EPMA system Trustwide, involving appropriately delivered training for all types of users in use within the Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust with good inter-personal and communication skills.

You will be supported in this role by the EPMA System Manager, other senior pharmacists and technicians in the Pharmacy department along with the rest of the EPMA project team. You will be encouraged to take active direction in setting out ways of delivering effective training to a multitude of Trust staff using EPMA

Working initially at Scunthorpe General Hospital, you will work closely with the small team of hospital staff to implement the EPMA system throughout the site, ensuring all staff are prepared for the system and working according to our needs. Once the Scunthorpe site is complete, preparations will begin for deployment of the system at Diana Princess of Wales Hospital in January 2021 so the postholder will be expected to spend the majority of their time at this site, although there will be an expectation to travel to all three hospital sites. During Go-live launch of the system on wards there will also be an expectation that the postholder will work flexible hours (early starts and late finishes) to support users.

If you feel you have the skills, drive, enthusiasm and commitment to help us achieve our goals then please get in touch. For an informal discussion about the role, please contact the current post-holder, Donna Ellis at donna.ellis@nhs.net

Interview Date25th August2020
