Job Summary

Your key role will be to assist in co-ordinating all aspects of the implementation of the chosen ePMA system in conjunction with the Project Manager and as part of the project implementation team.

This will involve using your experience and knowledge to provide technical input and contribute to the design of new work processes with the ePMA system from a medicines management perspective to maximise safety and quality.

This exciting opportunity has arisen for a fixed term Band 5 pharmacy technician position to join our ePMA project team.

We are looking for an experienced pharmacy technician to take an important role in supporting the implementation of ePMA at Dartford & Gravesham NHS Trust.

You will work closely with the lead ePMA Pharmacist as well as a wider ePMA project team to lay the groundwork for a safe and successful rollout of ePMA to all areas.

You will be involved in the configuration and development of the system as well as training and supporting clinical staff to use the system. This will be a valuable opportunity to gain leadership and team management experience, being given oversight of the pharmacy technical input into ePMA.

The successful candidate must be enthusiastic, dynamic and able to communicate ideas clearly and effectively with others. Candidates must also be a quick learner and possess competent IT skills due to the nature of the role.

This is a valuable chance to be at the forefront of digital innovation and through the implementation of ePMA have a direct positive impact on patients and the clinical teams using the system.

The post will be based in the pharmacy department at Darent Valley Hospital and the successful candidate will be required to have some clinical ward and dispensary commitments to meet departmental needs and maintain professional skills.

Applicants must be currently registered with the GPhC as a pharmacy technician and previous hospital experience is desirable.
