An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our new cohort of Trainee Nursing Associates (TNA) in both Adults and Children’s areas. This is an apprenticeship where you will have the opportunity to ‘’earn while you learn’’ throughout the duration of the programme. You will be employed in a two-year Trainee Nursing Associate role on a fixed term contract at Leeds Teaching Hospitals (LTHT) and undertake your academic studies at either Leeds Beckett University or the Open University please specify on your application form which university you would prefer to attend.

Note: you will be expected to complete a university application form. See attached notes on what to include in your supporting information as this will also be required by the university.

More information on the universities can be found at:

The Open University please see attached power point presentation and click on the link.

Leeds Beckett University - see attached power point presentation for contact details.

We are looking to recruit for our next cohort in February 2021.

Candidates employed by LTHT: Maths and English GCSE Grade C or above or equivalent. Level 2 diploma in Clinical Support Worker with 12 months post qualification experience working as a Clinical Support Worker at Band 2.

So if you think you have what it takes, are motivated, enthusiastic and have a passion for learning and developing your career within the health service then this may be the programme for you.

Tier 2 Certificate of Sponsorship

Applications from job seekers who require current Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. However, non-EEA candidates may not be appointed to a post if a suitably qualified, experienced and skilled EU/EEA candidate is available to take up the post as the employing body is unlikely, in these circumstances, to satisfy the current Resident Labour Market Test which will be in place until the end of December 2020. UK Visas and Immigration requires employers to complete this test to show that no suitably qualified EEA or EU worker can fill the post. For further information please visit the UK Visas and Immigration website.

From 6 April 2017, Tier 2 skilled worker applicants, applying for entry clearance into the UK, have had to present a criminal record certificate from each country they have resided continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Adult dependants (over 18 years old) are also subject to this requirement.
