Advanced Clinical Practitioner - Training Band 7 – 8A on qualification

We have an exciting opportunity to join our innovative team of advanced clinical Practitioners (ACP’s) within Cardiothoracic.

 

An Opportunity has arisen within the existing team for a trainee or qualified role (Banding dependent on experience and qualification).

Providing advanced level of autonomy to assess, investigate, diagnose, treat and refer patients within the relevant specialty. At UHP we recognise that Advanced Clinical Practice is a Multi-Professional role and we welcome applications from Nurses and Allied Healthcare Professionals alike. As a trainee you will receive a comprehensive training package and support delivered alongside the university programme.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivering holistic health care for patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems using advanced clinical practice skills

• Contributing to the provision of multidisciplinary education and training within the service, local training programmes and providing experiential learning opportunities, mentoring and clinical learning opportunities

 

Application requirements: Qualified

•         Qualifications: First level Registered Nurse or equivalent

•         MSc Advanced Clinical Practice

•         Independent Prescribing Qualification

•         Experience: Post qualification Clinical experience within a Surgical, critical care setting, or experience of management within current area

•         Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills

•         Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.

 

Application requirements: Trainee

•         Qualifications: First level Registered Nurse or equivalent

•         Willingness to complete a three year Master level education

•         Willingness to accept a two year contractual tie in post qualification

•         Experience:  within a surgical, cardiothoracic, critical setting, and experience  managing others in current role

•         Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills

•         Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.

 

This is a 3 year part time MSC Advanced qualification with Plymouth University.  Successful candidates will be registered Nurse’s Allied healthcare professionals and have post graduate experience within your chosen specialty or working in surgery,  ICU or critical care or equivalent. This role is an apprenticeship role supported by the university, balancing clinical work with training and educational requirements.

This is an evolving and dynamic role for which successful candidates will demonstrate advanced skills, knowledge and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  The role requires the ability to work as part of the multidisciplinary team to provide excellent service and care to patients and you will work closely with the consultant team and medical staff.
