About you:

With an NVQ level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent and relevant training to diploma level, you will have a warm personality, and good communication and people skills. With knowledge of the Liaison and Diversion agenda, you will collaborate with our team, building professional and supportive relationships. Supporting clients who are typically hard to engage, you will talk to families and friends, to gain a holistic understanding of the client’s circumstances and facilitate their access to support services, providing individualised support with practical problems or difficulties that may be affecting their health and wellbeing, providing help and advice on housing, social isolation and exclusion, education, debt management and employment problems. Eager to improve supported access to services, you will engage with community services and agencies. An empathetic advocate of service users, you will promote their rights and responsibilities, building a rapport, whilst maintaining appropriate and transparent boundaries. You will be emotionally resilient, able to cope with people displaying challenging behaviour and distressing situations. Working flexibly, visiting custody suites, magistrates’ courts and other locations in the community, you will enjoy travelling across multiple sites and have access to your own car.
