We have a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join us within Leicester Radiation Safety Service. The post holder will primarily provide support to the clinical scientists within the department with a number of varied and routine tasks and service development, working within a friendly, multi-disciplinary team of physicists, technicians and administrative staff. We work closely with the Imaging department and the applicant would be expected to work closely with Radiographers.

We have a wide range of equipment and exciting opportunities for projects and developments. The applicant would also be expected to train to undertake routine Quality Control on x-ray equipment.

This post would suit a recent Physics graduate interested in learning about medical applications of the science in a practical way. We have a strong history of training up staff and can provide a supportive environment in which to develop.

Leicester is a fun and vibrant city with lots going on and also good transport links to other regions for exploring.

It is expected that a similar role will be available in Nuclear Medicine in the near future. If you would like to be considered for both roles please indicate this in your application.
