£18,005 to £19,337 pa

This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated person to work as a Technician within the specialist areas of decontamination with the Endoscopy & Sterile Services Departments. The Endoscopy Unit provides endoscopes for use within the Endoscopy Unit and Sterile services Department providing sterile surgical instruments service to MCHFT and outside customers this involves the decontamination and reprocessing of all endoscopes and surgical instruments rendering them “fit for purpose”.


It is expected that the applicant will process a good standard of literacy and numeracy, including good basic IT skills. They must have the ability to work effectively using initiative, both within a team and independently in a fast paced challenging environment. It is essential that the individual is keen to learn and will receive training, in order to work towards achieving Local Decontamination Standards and National Decontamination Standards.


There is a requirement for the post holder to work flexibly across the 2 Hospitals sites of Leighton Hospital and Victoria Infirmary Northwich. And be able to commit to evening and weekend working as part of the core hours.
