Ward 27 is a 12 bedded inpatient (including the teenage cancer trust unit) and daycare unit for patients 0-24 years of age with a range of haematology and oncology conditions. It works within two regional services, the Children and Young People Integrated Cancer Service and the Teenage and Young Adult service. As ward manager you will have overall responsibility for both the inpatient and daycare areas and be able to enhance your leadership and managerial skills. There are also specialist nurses within the team. We are looking for either a registered children’s nurse or adult nurse with relevant paediatric oncology experience at band 6 level who is positive, progressive and forward thinking. You will be enthusiastic, flexible and committed person, striving to deliver high quality care for our patients. You should promote continuous development in clinical practice and delivery of patient care, encouraging innovation, improvement and appropriate change in service delivery.
