An exciting opportunity has arisen to provide leadership for the Haemodialysis Unit at the Leicester General Hospital. The unit is nurse led unit and currently has 170 patients with 28 stations.

The unit operates 4 shifts per day including a nocturnal shift and is operational from 20:00hrs Sunday evening until 23:00 Saturday. There are plans to relocate the current Haemodialysis Unit in the near future and this post offers the successful candidate the opportunity to be actively involved in shaping the future of the haemodialysis service for renal patients within Leicester.

You will have a recognised teaching qualification and relevant experience at band 6 in a renal environment. Ideally you will have experience in change management, as well as leading and developing teams. You will also have good communication and team working skills. Ideally you will be a nurse prescriber or willing to undertake the course.
