TB NURSING SERVICE

TB Support Worker (BCG Vaccination Programme)

Based at Glenfield Hospital

Band 3

Part time 15 hours/week Monday - Friday

An exciting new opportunity exists for a Band 3 Support Worker to join the Leicestershire Tuberculosis (TB) nursing team.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to develop their knowledge and skills in TB care / control and perform a key support role within our service. You will be a confident, effective communicator with a good knowledge of NHS systems and processes. The NHS ‘Care Certificate’ qualification and previous experience of working in a health or social care environment are essential. The post will involve working with both adults and children and is subject to enhanced CRB disclosure.

The Specialist TB Nursing Service operates across the County and City. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to work in close partnership with multiple key stakeholders. All applicants must have the ability to travel throughout the county; it is considered that this post is not suitable for public transport.
