An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated qualified, registered nurse to work as a member of the specialist Parkinson’s nurse team within neurology in the ESM CMG. If you have experience in the care of patients with Parkinson’s disease and have a genuine desire to work with this patient group, then you could be the person the team is looking for.

You will work in partnership with the current specialist nurses, wider MDT and community services. You will be passionate about maintaining high standards of nursing care and contribute to the improvement of services and quality care provision.

With the support of your senior colleagues you will have the opportunity to enhance your knowledge of Parkinson’s disease, manage your own patient caseload and develop your consultation skills.

You will be actively involved in influencing all aspects of care for our patient group. This will require you to be an excellent communicator and leader with the ability to promote autonomous practice.

The team’s main base is at the Leicester General Hospital with many community clinics offered throughout Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland so a car diver and willingness to travel is essential.
