The Division of Surgery is looking for a capable, helpful and enthusiastic audio typist who will be a key team player in providing admin and typing support.

The main duties of the job will be to provide efficient typing support across the Division of Surgery. The person will be responsible for ensuring the typing is completed in a timely manner and order of priority. Typing support will be given across many specialities.

You must be flexible and willing to help support surrounding admin teams in the event of sickness or unexpected absence.

You must have proven ability to work under pressure, prioritise workload and use own initiative to enable you to provide full support within a busy department.

You will have adequate typing skills and qualifications for example RSA II or equivalent, English GCSE Grade C or above and previous audio typing experience. You will have need knowledge and be confidence using Microsoft Word and Excel.

If this job requires you to have DBS check to enable you to properly fulfil the requirements of the job, on appointment, you will be required to replay the cost of obtaining a DBS check and this amount will be reclaimed in installments from your salary. Many staff use the DBS update service at a cost of £13 per annum but you need to sign up for this via their website.
