Cumbria Health on Call (CHoC)
£120,296.00 FTE


We provide out of hours (OOH) primary care and Extended Access appointments to the population of Cumbria (500,000 people over a land mass of 2,613 square miles), working out of 12 clinical sites. Our core bases are:

  • Kendal
  • Barrow
  • Whitehaven
  • Carlisle
  • Penrith
  • Wigton

We currently have General Practitioner roles available on a salaried and locum basis working evening and nights during the week.

We are delighted to be advertising for GPs to join our clinical team aspart of our Out of Hours services in Whitehaven based at the West Cumberland Hospital.


Our General Practitioners form an integral part of the CHoC team. As a GP you will be responsible for providing high quality primary care services to the population of Cumbria in an out of hours setting. This post offers really flexible work opportunities.
