An exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptionally motivated individual to join our ultrasound team as Clinical Lead Sonographer for Obstetrics; joining the three other ultrasound clinical leads in providing a high quality, responsive diagnostic service delivering excellent patient care in line with the Trust’s core values.

The successful applicant will already have proven specialist skills in obstetrics ultrasound imaging and will be expected to lead by example, maintaining clinical expertise whilst promoting high imaging standards and be responsible for the continuous monitoring and audit of the obstetric ultrasound service. Experience in gynaecology ultrasound is desirable but not essential.

The successful applicant will be required to develop, manage and supervise the ultrasound component of the Fetal Anomaly Screening Programme at UHL and to ensure compliance with National Screening Committee and FASP standards and represent the department at appropriate Trust Committees and to contribute to the successful overall performance of the Trust.

You must have excellent communication and organisational skills. A commitment to CPD and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team is essential for this post.

Previous experience working in the NHS is essential.
