Acting Control Manager

Based at: St James Bristol

37.5 Hours per week

Band 7

3 month Secondment

Please note, this role is ring fenced to substantive clinical Hub Managers including Duty Managers, Control Officers, Clinical Team Leaders (CTL’s) and EMD Team Leaders.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Control Manager in the North Clinical hub who will be responsible for efficiently and effectively managing

This is to manage the dispatch team which includes Dispatchers, Duty Managers, Control Officers and Senior Dispatchers by assisting with the planning, organising, monitoring, directing and controlling of the Control function in order to ensure the delivery of high quality pre-hospital care by motivated employees.

The Control Manger role will provide managerial leadership and line management to a Clinical Hub staff group ensuring high quality patient care is delivered in line with the strategic objectives of the Trust.

The Control Manager has a key role in making sure that the Clinical Hub delivers performance in line with expectations and is responsible for the implementation of strategic objectives and policy decisions into operational activity, providing feedback to ensure continuous patient focused performance, especially around dispatch.

Educated to degree level or relevant equivalent experience with additional specialist knowledge relevant to this role.

Significant Management experience with a minimum of 2 years’ experience with a Clinical hub environment.
