Intensive Home Nursing Service provides up to 24 hour care for patients deemed to be in the last days/weeks of life and the Intensive Home Support Service provides up to 24 hour care to patients who have an acute episode of illness and are expected to improve with treatment.

The role of the staff nurse will be to review patients that are on both services, on a daily basis, to ensure that the patients fulfill the service criteria.
