Water Safety Maintenance Assistant

Band 3

 

We require a Maintenance Assistant to work in the Estates Department to assist in all aspects of engineering work, building work and grounds work, plus support the Estates Department in providing a customer-focused service.

 

You will be required to work at both Warrington and Halton sites, carrying out duties across the Trust and community premises as required.

 

Reporting to the Estates Compliance Supervisor/Senior / Estates Officers, you will assist in the maintenance and provision of water systems and building services to the Trust’s buildings, plant and estate. This will include duties relating to Water Compliance and a keen approach is required to compliance and with Health & Safety legislation.

 

You will have basic skills in an engineering discipline and training will be provided as required.

 

Hours: 37.5 per week, to be worked over 5 days, Monday to Friday.

A weekend commitment is also required to cover the Medical Gas service for which additional payment is made for hours worked and travel expenses. There are also opportunities for additional overtime working.

Depending on the classification of the post, in-line with DBS guidelines, a Standard or Enhanced disclosure will be required which may include a check of the ‘Vulnerable Adults List’, the ‘Children’s List’ and/or the Independent Safeguarding Authorities (ISA’s) barred lists.

A charge of £60 (Enhanced) will be made by the successful candidate which will be deducted from the first 3 months’ salary. In addition to this, you will also be required to re-pay any future costs that may arise in relation to DBS fees.
