Pharmacy Services Assistant

Salary: £18,005-£19,337 (Band 2)

Hours: 37.5/week (Full time)

The pharmacy department is looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and reliable member of staff to join the existing pharmacy team. This position is a dispensary based role.

The successful candidate will be expected to cover all of the following aspects within the dispensary:

  • Accurately and efficiently dispense and label medicines for Royal Papworth Hospital patients

  • Customer service – greeting and assisting patients and staff presenting to the dispensary

  • Ensure accurate stock control of medicines and maintain the replenishment of sundries

  • You will be required to work closely with other members of the dispensary and pharmacy team, to help deliver an efficient and effective pharmacy service to the hospital.

  • To successfully complete the relevant units of the NVQ Level 2 Pharmacy Services course

  • To participate in weekend, Bank Holiday and late night duties

Previous experience in working in a Dispensary or Pharmacy is desirable, but not essential, as training will be provided.

In order to provide a high quality service to our patients and colleagues, you must demonstrate excellent communication skills, good computer skills, attention to detail, ability to work efficiently, be proactive in your work and work well as a part of a team.
