Salary: Excellent rates of pay£20 per hour Inclusive of Holiday pay

We have a great opportunity to join our school immunisation teams to make a difference to child health in this area. VUK provide Nasal Flu (Fluenz) to schools in the West Hertfordshire area -Hemel. Tring, Berkhampsted, Watford, Rickmansworth, Radlet, Bushey, Borehamwood and St Albans

The service will primarily be delivered on-site in schools for children in primary but due to the pandemic situation, we will also be delivering these immunisations in community clinic settings.

This will be on a bank contract from Mid September 2020 until 18th December 2020. The hours of work will be from 0830 until the end of the school day, or the immunisation session. You must be able to arrive on time and stay until finished.

You just need to provide us with your availability, and there is the opportunity to work up to 6 days per week to suit you. As a result of the type of work we do, a flexible approach to working is required. In return, we are offering a very competitive hourly rate, a friendly and supportive working environment.

If you are an RN with an interest in child health, and have experience in giving immunisations, ideally with a practice nurse, school nurse or community nursing background, we would love to hear from you.

We require you to have mandatory training in place which should include Safeguarding Children and Adults at level 2, FGM, Prevent and Immunisation Training. However, we can arrange this for you.

This post is subject to all training being completed or with a completion date set prior to starting. Without this training, you will not be able to undertake this role. We can provide training for any of these areas that are not currently in date, with prior notice.

Knowledge of Health and Safety issues is essential.

There will be substantial access to children; therefore, an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring check will be required and sign up to the update service is part of our requirements.
