Pharmacy Logistics Assistant

Full time 37.5 hours per week:

We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual to fit into our existing Pharmacy Logistics team in the Pharmacy Department at University Hospitals Leicester.

Key duties for the post include:

- Receive all incoming pharmacy goods, checking that they are correct in identity, quantity and condition, reporting any discrepancies to the Purchasing office on the day received, in order to ensure adequate stocks and financial recompense

- Participate in the delivery/collection of pharmaceuticals to and from other departments within the hospital and within UHL to maximise a timely and accurate supply.

We require a person with a positive and responsible attitude to work, who can demonstrate good communication skills, a friendly and helpful demeanour and can work well within a team. The candidate will work closely alongside the Stores, Clinical Distribution, Replenishment and Dispensary teams.

You should have a good standard of education, computer skills, good communication and telephone manner.

We require the candidate to be physically fit as the job requires a degree of physical effort eg manual handling of inanimate loads, pushing trolleys and walking.

Experience within a logistics / warehouse setting would also be welcomed
The post will involve late, weekend and bank holiday cover on a rota basis.
