As of 1st April 2020 Herefordshire Mental Health and Learning Disability Services will be transferring to Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust. This change will be reflected in any correspondence you receive relating to an offer of employment.

We serve a population of 189,000 spread across 850 square miles of Herefordshire. We offer a wide range of in-patient and community mental health services covering all ages including Child & Adolescent Mental Health, Perinatal, Working Age and Older People Services. In the most recent CQC inspection the organisation retained its overall rating of good amongst which several services were rated as outstanding.

Herefordshire Mental Health & Learning Disability services employ approximately 400 staff currently.

Recent service developments have included perinatal mental health, personality disorder/complex trauma, liaison & diversion services and Individual Placement and Support Services. We are an innovative forward looking organisation keen to work with people in our aim to improve outcomes for people with mental health and learning disabilities of all ages.


This is an exciting opportunity to join the Older Peoples Clinical Psychology Service in Herefordshire.

The Older People’s Psychology Team currently covers a geographical area of mixed rural and Hereford City, providing specialist mental health care, and we’re looking for a team secretary to play an integral part alongside the rest of the team in the day-to-day running of the service.

The team secretary provides an essential administrative and support role to clinical colleagues working as an integral member of the Older People’s Psychology team. We require a self-motivated individual who can work well with a number of colleagues, as well as communicating directly with patients and carers as required.

Good interpersonal skills as well as sound knowledge and experience of secretarial/admin work are essential.

This position is currently based at the Benet Building, in Belmont Hereford.

This post requires the post holder to be able to undertake all statutory and mandatory trainingand post holders must be able to undertake physical interventions. Fitness for physical intervention will be assessed by Occupational Health.
