The Neighbourhood Community Mental Health Service (NCMHS) are looking to recruit a number of HCPC registered Psychologists, Clinical or Counselling, to provide highly specialist psychology services to adults with psychological disorders in Worcestershire.

The post holders would be working alongside a large team of Psychologists and be based within the NCMHS multi-disciplinary team. The post holders would provide highly specialist psychological assessments, leading to the development of formulations and, if appropriate, delivering treatment plans. Involvement with staff training and service audit would also be an important part of these posts. We also encourage engagement from all Psychologists, as appropriate, in the development of the psychology services. We have a group for newly qualified psychology staff, which is beneficial to attend during the initial year working as a qualified Psychologist. Devoted and supportive managerial and clinical supervision is provided for all Psychologists working within the NCMHS.

The post holders would be based within the NCMHS provision, within the Wyre Forest locality. However, the post holders would also provide sessions across Worcestershire if necessary. It is essential that applicants can meet the travel requirement for the post.

Post 1: Full time, 37.5 hours

Post 2: Part time, 18.75 hours

Working with severe and enduring presentations - 1 permanent post:

Post 3: Full time, 37.5 hours

Post 4: Full time, 37.5 hours

We welcome applications from individuals in the last year of professional training, who would be employed as a Band 6 trainee, and work to an appropriate Band 6 job description until they had obtained HCPC registration. When this had been achieved the post would be upgraded and the post holder would then be employed as a Band 7, with an appropriate upgraded job description.

PLEASE NOTE: All new appointments are subject to 6 months’ probation period.

The Trust offers a preceptorship year for newly qualified nurses and AHP's and attendance at preceptorship programmes is a condition of employment.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.


Tier 2 Certificate of Sponsorship
