Salary negotiable within the range £40,463-£51,336per annum (AfC Band 7 equivalent), pro rata for part-time posts


The Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability in Putney is a leading national centre of excellence for acquired brain injury and complex neuro-disability. We have exciting opportunities for enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals to join our large and supportive Clinical Psychology team. The successful candidates will be able to access the learning and opportunities that come with being a national centre of excellence including on-site specialist CPD, and opportunities to undertake research and to deliver teaching and training to both clinical and non-clinical staff. The RHN is supportive of psychologists undertaking PGDip courses in Clinical Neuropsychology and QiCN clinical supervision is available on site.


The successful candidates will work with clients who present with cognitive, emotional and/or behavioural challenges in the context of a wide range of physical, sensory and communication difficulties.  Clients’ cognitive abilities range from profoundly impaired (disorders of consciousness) to subtle or no impairments (e.g. locked-in-syndrome; Guillain-Barré syndrome). Inter-disciplinary working and supporting families and carers are key aspects of the role. The posts present ideal opportunities to learn how to apply neuropsychology and neuro-rehabilitation skills to clients with complex formulations, and to apply clinical psychology skills to systemic work with families and teams.
