This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, enthusiastic individual with health and safety experience to join our Trust.

We are looking for an experienced, qualified and proactive health & safety practitioner to promote a culture of ownership of health and safety and security throughout the Trust. This will include working in close collaboration with the directorates to promote compliance with statutory and NHS requirements; and ensuring good practice in health and safety, security, risk assessments and risk reduction, as well as providing effective support and guidance to managers and staff across the organisation.

You will be able to carry out and assist with the carrying out of risk assessments; and investigate incidents and carry out inspections and write reports to a high standard. You will also be able provide training and be proficient in using a computer.

As a team player, you’ll be able to manage and prioritise your work in order to meet deadlines. Previous experience of working in a health and safety environment is essential. We are looking for someone who can work on their own initiative and has strong interpersonal skills.
